David Lang has been practicing and sharing the Headless Way for over 50 years. He met Douglas Harding in 1970 before going up to Oxford to read English. In the mid-70s he co-led workshops with Douglas in England and North America. Then in 1980 he moved to the U.S., where through the 80s and 90s he organized workshops for Douglas in the Bay Area on his annual international tours. During this time, David made, collected, and edited recordings of Douglas in conversations and talks, published as Face to No-Face by Douglas Harding. He also wrote the autobiographical A Flower in the Desert: Images from the Headless Way. David lives with his wife, Carol, in Half Moon Bay.
